The award recognizes the work of frontline practitioners and innovative projects that improve outcomes and make the justice system fairer and more effective. The award ceremony was held on April 12, 2023, and was co-sponsored by the Office of Institutional Diversity & Equity, the William Jewett Tucker Center, the Dartmouth Center for Social Impact, Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee, and the Geisel School of Medicine.
The Nyando Social Justice Center was nominated for the Ongoing Commitment Award, which honors an individual or organization that has dedicated between 10 and 20 years to a chosen field.
Our team has been working tirelessly to promote human rights, social justice, and peace in the community, and this award is a testament to our commitment to justice and innovation.
