PLHIV Stigma Index

Stigma and Discrimination

The PLHIV Stigma Index 2.0 study is a comprehensive research project currently underway in Kenya as part of a global initiative. It aims to examine and understand the extent of stigma and discrimination faced by People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and assess the changing dynamics of this issue.

This study involves collaboration between a diverse group of stakeholders, including local and international researchers, PLHIV, healthcare professionals, and community members. The collective effort of these partners is essential to obtain a comprehensive and inclusive perspective.

The study holds great significance as it can provide critical insights into the prevalence of HIV-related stigma and discrimination.

By identifying and addressing these issues, it can help improve the well-being and quality of life for PLHIV. Additionally, the study contributes to a global effort to combat HIV-related stigma.
