NSJC Supports School Renovation Project

Transforming Learning Spaces for a Brighter Future

On March 14, 2025, the Nyando Social Justice Center proudly joined hands with key stakeholders to launch a significant classroom renovation project at St. Camillus Secondary School in Wawidhi. This initiative, funded by the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF), aims to refurbish ten classrooms, creating a more conducive learning environment for students.

A Collaborative Effort for Educational Advancement

The event brought together various partners committed to improving education standards. Engineer Nyamori from the Public Works Department provided a detailed briefing on the renovation plans and projected timelines. Contractor Richard Rabara emphasized the meticulous approach to ensuring quality workmanship throughout the project.

As members of the Board of Management (BOM) at St. Camillus Secondary School, we reaffirm our dedication to overseeing the project’s success, ensuring it meets the needs of both students and educators.

Enhancing Learning Environments

Classroom infrastructure plays a crucial role in shaping students’ educational experiences. Many schools struggle with inadequate learning facilities, which can hinder academic performance and motivation. By renovating these ten classrooms, we aim to create a safe, comfortable, and inspiring space where students can focus, learn, and excel.

Commitment to Education and Social Justice

At Nyando Social Justice Center, we believe that education is a fundamental right and a catalyst for social change. Our participation in this project aligns with our mission to empower communities through education and promote equitable access to quality learning resources. Investing in schools today means investing in the future of our youth and our community.

A Call for Support

As we embark on this transformation, we invite community members, stakeholders, and partners to join us in enhancing educational facilities across Nyando. With collective effort, we can ensure that every child has access to a quality education and the opportunity to succeed.

Stay tuned for updates on the progress of this renovation project, as we work together to build a brighter future for the students of St. Camillus Secondary School!
