Identifying Over 300 Flood Victims in East Kano, Wawidhi Ward

On August 27, 2024, we played a vital role in identifying more than 300 flood victims in East Kano, Wawidhi Ward. This initiative is part of a broader effort to support those affected by recent flooding, which has left many in dire need of assistance.

A Community in Crisis

The floods have devastated local plantations, leading to severe food shortages as communities face the dual challenge of flooding and drought. In response, the Red Cross has stepped in to provide critical support. The identified victims have been registered and are set to receive "enough" food supplies in September and October, thanks to a targeted program aimed at assisting 10,000 flood victims across the region.
