Highlights of the 22nd ICASA Conference in Harare, Zimbabwe

Held from 4th to 9th December 2023

Nyando Social Justice Center's participation in the 22nd edition of ICASA was a significant achievement for the organization in 2023. The conference provided a platform for the center to engage with renowned scientists, policymakers, activists, people living with HIV, government officials, heads of state or delegation, and representatives of civil society, estimated to be between 7,000 to 10,000 participants. 

The theme of the conference, "HIV is still here: Eliminating inequalities, accelerating inclusion and innovation," aimed to engage all stakeholders in the continent towards achieving the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets while prioritizing human rights. The conference also integrated emerging infections such as hepatitis, tuberculosis, and non-communicable diseases, with the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.



Nyando Social Justice Center's participation in the conference is a testament to the organization's commitment to social justice and human rights. The center's participation in the conference will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the future of the organization. The conference provided an opportunity for the center to network with other organizations and individuals working towards similar goals.
